Ibadan, the Oyo State capital city woke up Wednesday to a group of protesting youths. The youths were protesting the death of a 15 year old boy allegedly killed by Amotekun Corps.
The young-man said to be a Print Shop apprentice doubles as a WAEC candidate met his sudden death at about 2 am Wednesday morning on his way to an errand at a nearby Sabo neighbourhood in Ibadan.
Unknown sources stated that the boy was misidentified for an armed robber by men of Amotekun Security Agency patrolling the neighbourhood. Youths numbering about 500 started the protest at Mokola which quickly spread to most of Ibadan Oyo State. They burnt tires with chants of songs in condemnation of Ametokun Cops.
Body of the dead youth was said to be placed on a tricycle as they matched to the government house along Queen Elizabeth Road through to University College Hospital (UCH) before government house where they asked Gov. Makinde to help them fish out the killers in Amotekun Security Agency
