Senator Rochas Anayo Okorocha has lost his bid to have the courts stop Imo State government or Economic Crimes Commission from repossessing his properties confiscated. This is the second time the embattled ex-governor has lost in one week all his attempts at making Imo State government drop the move to seize his properties and that of his family since leaving Douglas House Owerri.
Mr. Oba Maduabuchi (SAN), counsel to Senator Okorocha had told the court presided over by Justice Ahmed Mohammed that numerous properties belonging to his client were either marked for demolition or confiscation by Imo State government. His bid to stop the government or Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from confiscating those properties were rejected by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
